Video: “The Reason I Breathe” by J.D. Danner
April 14, 2007
As promised when I posted the interview with J.D. Danner and her song The Reason I Breathe, I said I would put the song to video. The video is not only for the Troops, but especially for their loved ones that are at home keeping things running smoothly, all the while missing their soldier with all of their heart. Please visit J.D. Danner’s website and listen to her other music and maybe order a CD or other merchandise. Remember that a portion of the sales from The Reason I Breathe single goes to to help the troops and their families. Enjoy the video! I’m dedicating the video to my special deployed soldier…

Got something to say?
WOW! What an amazing video! Excellent work!! I am so very grateful to your video interpretation of my song…
THANK YOU TERRI!!!
Thank you JD for your wonderful song. Welcome to the blog as well. Please feel free to stop by anytime.
This is such an awesome video. It’s really beautiful and makes me proud to be an American, but even prouder to support our troops. Great job with the song and video! Everyone needs to watch this.
Thank you Joanie, I’m glad you liked the video. When I heard JD’s song it really struck a chord in me, because my loved one is currently in Iraq and I knew I had to make a video to go along with the song. As I said at the end, I dedicated the video not only to the troops and their families, but also MY special soldier.
I am a friend of JD’s and i just wanted to say that I really love your video and what great interpretation of JD’s song. The reason i breathe is my all time favorite song of hers ever though I think they are all great.
Thank you very much Janet. I too was very moved by the song and wanted to do it justice with the video. I’m glad you liked it.
You did a great job with that video Terri!!
Thanks Tracy, as I was listening to the song, I tried to make it as personal as possible, including photos of not only my son and Marty, but of some of my favorite “AdoptaPlatoon Kids” that I’ve had over the years. I thought by doing so, it really conveyed the message that JD was trying to get out in the song.
I am so moved and so grateful for this beautiful artist. Beautiful outside, and more importantly, beautiful inside. My son is deployed to Afghanistan, and even though this song is interpreted for wives and girlfriends of deployed soldiers, it’s a blessing to us all. God bless JD, and God bless our wonderful warrior heroes.
Rhonda, after I heard JD’s song, I put it to the video slide-show based on how it affected me. But it’s really based for all the military family members. It could be done any way you see fit really. Please let your son know that we appreciate his service and sacrifices for our Country.
Hi Terri -
Thanks for posting the new song! The CD single will be out this week. I will be bringing them to Ft. Hood. Can’t wait to meet you in person!
Smiles -
