Site problems…

June 4, 2008

Well, I have finally gotten settled in here in Germany.  I checked the website last night and was unable to access it at all.  After poking around for a bit I realized ASM had been hacked.  After the site was hacked, a virus was also linked to the site.  This has now caused us to be blacklisted by Google.

I am finally gotten the site running again.  As you can see, the old page design was completely destroyed and too much of the code was full of malicious lines.  So, I figured now was as good as any to find a new design.  Right now the site is very basic and many of the features you may have come accustomed to are not available yet.  I am working very hard to get everything back online.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

Welcome back! I kept getting an alert from Norton warning of “Downloader”.

Yes, I do apologize for that. As long as Norton or a similar anti virus program detected the “Downloader” virus, you should be good to go. Also, any users that were using FireFox as there browser would not have been affected at all.

No worries. I only mentioned it in case you needed to know in order to straighten things out :)

As a quick side note, anyone who has visited ASM over the last few days needs to check their computer for viruses. If you do not have a virus program such as Norton of McAfee, please visit http://free.grisoft.com/ and download AVG Free. This will be able to detect and remove the Downloader virus that you MAY have received from ASM and also protect you in the future.

Got something to say?
